Family Portraits are not just for families anymore as you can see in this image. I love to capture a kid being a kid! I take a photojournalistic approach when shooting a child portrait, let them be themselves and you will be amazed how the images will capture your heart. If you make them sit and pose the way you want them to do it it will show in the images. I usually let them have a little fun, making silly faces at the camera and then show them the images. This helps build a comfort level between us. Then after that we get into the portraits.
